NoCents is a personal finance app designed to help you log expenses and understand spending habits simply and privately. The app is built to operate primarily on your device, with optional anonymous sync.

2. Information We Handle

We handle only what’s required for core functionality:

• App content you provide — balances, expenses, and categories, stored locally on your device.
• Optional sync data — an encrypted backup stored in the cloud under a random technical identifier, linked only to this device’s anonymous session.
• Anonymous technical data — limited, non-financial information related to app stability and performance.

3. How We Use This Information

• Run and maintain app functionality.
• Provide an optional anonymous cloud backup linked to this device only. Sync does not transfer data to other devices and does not support manual or support-based recovery.
• Improve usability and technical stability.
• Identify and fix bugs.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data remains on your device by default. If sync is enabled, an encrypted copy is stored in the cloud under an anonymous identifier linked only to this device. If the app is uninstalled or app or browser data is cleared, recovery is not possible.

5. Your Choices

• Use the app without creating an account.
• Enable or disable sync at any time.
• Clear or reset app data on your device.

6. Third-Party Services

NoCents uses trusted infrastructure providers solely to support optional sync and hosting. No third party has access to identifiable personal or financial information.

7. Children’s Privacy

NoCents is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated when necessary to reflect changes in the app. Significant changes will be communicated within the app.
